When first discovered, the wooden lid covered this box completely. I wanted to offer a glimpse into what lay inside, and cut a circular whole in the upper part, and cut off the lower 1/5 of the lid, replacing it with plexiglass to reveal treasures inside. The text “technic” was found in a vintage radiographic book and spoke to how I strive to constantly perfect and express my artistic technique. 
 
Cuando se descubrió por primera vez, la tapa de madera cubría completamente esta caja. Quería echar un vistazo a lo que había en el interior, cortar un conjunto circular en la parte superior y cortar el 1/5 inferior de la tapa, reemplazándolo con plexiglás para revelar tesoros en el interior. El texto "técnica" se encontró en un libro radiográfico de época y habló de cómo me esfuerzo por perfeccionar y expresar mi técnica artística.
